TaosFF welcomes short-form and feature-length narrative and documentary films, including experimental and animated projects, with no limits on production date.

New Mexico filmmakers and films shot primarily in New Mexico qualify for submission fee discount codes. Review the Rules and Regulations section on our FilmFreeway page for details.

Submissions Close: FEB 1, 2026

There are four submission deadlines:
SEP 1, 2025 — Early
NOV 1, 2025 — Regular
JAN 11, 2026 — Final
FEB 1, 2026 — Late

MAR 1, 2026 — Selections notified
APR 23-26, 2026 — Festival dates

Official selections screen at three main venues:
Taos Center for the Arts — 275 seats
Harwood Museum of Art — 96 seats
WildFlower Playhouse — 65 seats
